Behind the scenes of a Sunday Treat production.

Welcome to Sunday Treat! If you’re expecting a room full of people in sharp suits, nodding thoughtfully over a storyboard like it’s the blueprint for the next James Bond movie, you’re in the wrong place. Try a law firm down the road.

Here, we’re more likely to be debating which coffee blend fuels the most creative ideas or competing to see who can set up a camera rig the fastest (loser buys lunch, by the way). But don’t let the banter fool you—when it’s time to shoot, every piece of kit is right where it should be, and every shot is crafted to perfection.

That’s the charm of a day at Sunday Treat: a dash of chaos, a sprinkle of creativity, and—shockingly—getting things done. Welcome to our humble abode.

Let’s get your day started, shall we?

6:00 AM: The Early Starters

Our day begins bright and early for some—those who like to get a head start setting up the equipment, checking sound levels, and making sure everything runs smoothly. The rest of the team arrives a little later, easing into the day. But once everyone’s in, and we’ve all had a chance to wake up (thanks, coffee!), the energy picks up, and we’re ready to go.

That’s just a glimpse of the office vibe, though. Meanwhile, our on-location crew is working away in various spots across the globe—Berlin, New York, LA, or wherever the story takes us. It’s not just about racking up miles; it’s about capturing moments that bring the project to life.

8:00 AM: The Set-Up

This is where everything starts to take shape. The team sets up with purpose—cameras are carefully assembled, tripods adjusted, and our lighting rig is put into position. There’s a good mix of focus and light-hearted conversation, as everyone gets into their roles and routines. You might spot a crew member scanning the room thoughtfully, looking for the best spot for that crucial power connection.

Meanwhile, our director, Amy Scott, is on a plane to the next shoot location, knitting away like she’s racing to finish a Christmas jumper. If she’s this productive at 30,000 feet, just imagine what she’s like on set!

By the way, these airlines seriously need to up their in-flight entertainment game—hey, we know a video agency that creates hilarious productions! Fancy a chat?

9:30 AM: The Actual Filming Begins

By mid-morning, after a few cups of coffee and a quick check-in to make sure everyone’s on the same page, we’re ready to roll. Cameras are set, scripts are in hand, and the atmosphere buzzes with anticipation. We spend a few minutes fine-tuning lenses and making final adjustments until everything is just right.

Finally, the director calls out that magical word—”Action!”—and everyone snaps into focus. Our crew’s transformations would put Clark Kent’s change into Superman to shame. One minute, we’re goofing around; the next, we’re an orchestra of perfectly synchronised camera movements, focus pulls, and lighting adjustments.

12:30 PM: Lunch Break (Sort Of)

Lunchtime arrives, and it’s a welcome break from the hustle of the morning. But if you think we switch off, think again. Sure, there’s a bit of a scramble over who gets the last slice of pizza and a lively debate over which crisps reign supreme (salt and vinegar for the win, obviously). But somehow, even while munching away, we’re still chatting about the shoot—discussing that perfect angle we got or replaying a particularly smooth camera move like a sports highlight.

And then there’s always someone who starts sketching out the next scene on a napkin. You know, just for fun. 🤷‍♂️

4:30 PM: The Previsualisation (Also Known as “Where Everyone Gets to Play Director”)

Previsualisation time is when we plan out each frame and angle for the next day’s filming. But instead of a dry run-through, it’s more like a mini-production of its own. The team loves getting involved—one minute someone’s testing out camera movements, and the next they’re jumping into the scene, filling in for a character or wielding a prop that’s, well… not exactly what you’d call high-tech.

A top-of-the-line futuristic gadget? That’s represented by an empty water bottle someone grabbed off the catering table. A priceless artefact? It’s probably a clipboard with a very official-looking sticky note on it. But that’s all part of the fun.

There’s always a lot of laughter as everyone improvises, transforming everyday items into key pieces of the story. By the end, we’re not just prepped for tomorrow—we’ve created our own little show, complete with makeshift accessories and a whole lot of enthusiasm.

It’s energetic, it’s fun, and it’s a reminder of why we love what we do.

6:00 PM: The Wrap-Up (And the Bit Where We All Pretend We’ll Head Straight Home)

“Cut! That’s a wrap!” Cheers, applause, and maybe a few happy tears. It’s a celebration. Equipment is swiftly packed away, the set is cleared, and there’s a general sense of camaraderie.

We’ll swap stories about the day, replay favourite moments, and then comes the classic post-shoot lie: “I’m definitely heading home after this.” Spoiler alert: at least half of us will end up in the nearest pub, pint in hand, dissecting the shoot down to the smallest detail. Because that’s what we do—we create, we laugh, we stress, and then we unwind. Rinse and repeat.

So, there you have it—a day in the life of Sunday Treat, your #1 London video production company. Slightly chaotic, undeniably passionate, and always on point. Whether it’s perfecting the tiniest detail or transforming creative ideas into reality, it’s all part of what we do best.

See you tomorrow at six? We’ve got some more cinematic magic to plan—and we’re always ready for the next big shot.
